Partner Onboarding Guide

Welcome to the VenturEd Communications API partner program! This guide will walk you through the process of becoming a partner and integrating with our platform.

Overview

The VenturEd Communications API allows partners to resell our messaging services to their customers. As a partner, you'll be able to:

  • Provide SMS messaging services to your customers
  • Handle customer authentication and authorization
  • Receive API keys on behalf of your customers
  • Integrate messaging into your existing platform

Getting Started

1. Initial Contact

To begin the partner onboarding process, email us at:

Include the following information in your initial contact:

  • Your business name and brief description
  • How you plan to use the Communications API
  • Your expected message volume (if known)
  • Any specific requirements or questions

2. Qualification Process

Our qualification process has a low barrier to entry. We focus on:

  • Genuine business interest: Are you building a real service for real customers?
  • Billing capability: Can you handle the billing and payment aspects?

Note: We don't offer free services. All partnerships require billing arrangements.

3. Information Requirements

Once qualified, we'll need the following information:

Business Information

  • Business Name: Used for platform identification and customer communications
  • Short Business Name: May be required for alphanumeric SMS sender IDs
  • Legal Information: Company registration details, terms acceptance

Technical Configuration

  • Partner Endpoint URL: Required - This is where we'll send customer API keys when authorization completes
  • Technical Contact: Developer or technical lead contact information

Business Requirements

  • Billing Details: Payment methods, billing agreements
  • Pricing Discussions: Rate negotiations, volume considerations
  • Message Cost Handling: How messaging costs will be bundled or passed through

4. Setup Process

Current Timeline: Few days to 1 week

Our setup process is currently manual and handled by our senior development team:

  1. Requirements Gathering: We'll collect all necessary information
  2. Legal & Billing Setup: Finalize agreements and billing arrangements
  3. Technical Configuration: Our team manually configures your partner account
  4. Documentation & Testing: We provide documentation and help with initial testing

Note: Timeline may vary based on billing complexity and legal requirements.

After setup is complete, you'll receive:

  • Your partner credentials and configuration details
  • Access to our documentation and API specifications
  • Testing guidance and sandbox information
  • Support contact information
